In this instance, this issue was caused due to the 'sftp subsystem' line missing from the SSH configuration file at /etc/ssh/sshdconfig. Trace: Server version: SSH-2.0-OpenSSH_7. When attempting to connect to SFTP the following errors are generated: Error: FATAL ERROR: Received unexpected end-of-file from SFTP server Error: Could not connect to server. ' - then I have an error message: 'unexpected end-of-file from SFTP server'. When I try to log in with filezilla - I log in ' Connected to. In /etc/ssh/sshdconfig I added web17 for example. I would like to be able to connect with each webX users. Trace: We claim version: SSH-2.0-FileZilla_3.40.0 So I decided to try to connect with SFTP instead. Maybe is related to the interaction of AWS Transfer with my S3 bucket. Which btw I don't idea where are they coming from. Those look OK, I can see error logs of failed attempts from my SFTP server:
